Behold, the Ron Burgundy - Old Forester single barrel select, sugar, angostura bitters, and orange bitters served over a large cube. As the lunch hour progressed (don't judge me for drinking at lunch), the restaurant filled up quickly. I had opted for a table outside, which was great, but became more sunny than I prefer by the end of my meal. Service was quick and friendly. Parking was a little difficult; definitely a great location to walk or Uber. ”

Champ burger was decent - felt like the thickness of the two meats started battling each other, wanted more of the habanero jelly - flavors were all really good though. Mac and cheese was also a hit. Delicious. Fries with the in-house made ketchup was alright - I personally prefer a thicker ketchup, but the in house had a good tomato flavor, was not bad by any means, just not my cup of tea. You can tell this restaurant uses high quality ingredients. Very well prepared dishes. ”

“ Barleymash... well, things looked a little different this time around. Last time I was here, I was in full party mode--no kid, just good vibes and questionable decisions. Fast forward to now, and I'm back, but this time with my kid in tow, ready to show him the family-friendly side of the Gaslamp quarter. We went during lunchtime, and wow..this place was a total ghost town compared to the wild scene I remember. No DJs, no dance circles--just some peaceful chewing. But honestly? Still a great time! Our server was an absolute gem, super sweet and totally on top of things. I went for the Cobb salad with chicken, and for such a simple salad it was sooooo good! ”

“ It was my first time trying food here and it was so good! I didn't expect food to be good here but the chicken tenders are to die for! Also got a bowl of chilli and it was really good. The service was fast and our server was nice. Plenty of room inside so there wasn't a wait for us. Definitely will be back to try other things on the menu. ”

“ I enjoy their food! During this visit I tried their brussel sprouts mac n cheese and it was really good! The portion is generous and you can make this a vegetarian dish if you have them not include the bacon. I'm not a vegetarian, so I had the bacon in my dish. There is a lot of seating and they can handle bigger groups. It's a popular brunch spot, so be prepared for a little wait if you go during the weekend. The only thing that isn't great is the speed of service. They move at a slower pace, so I wouldn't recommend eating here if you're in a hurry. We went during an off peak period and it took about 90 minutes once we were seated for a late lunch. ”

Amazing, quick service- even for our party of 8 people. everyone was so friendly and helpful. the food portions were MASSIVE- definitely worth the price. i recommend the bleu cheese iron fries. they were WONDERFUL & i reheated them the next day for a second meal! will definitely be back. ”

“ Two words: chicken tenders. I have been meaning to come here for some time and finally came by for dinner. For some reason I thought this would be much more of a dive bar being in Gaslamp, but wow did it exceed my expectations! It was so spacious inside the restaurant and well decorated for the holidays. I was also impressed with how clean the bathroom was. We were seated inside right away and the servers were very attentive and helpful as we enjoyed our meal. I LOVED how the chicken tenders were served with seasoned fries and four different home made sauces: ketchup, bourbon BBQ, ranch, and buffalo. My favorites were the ketchup and ranch. The selection of cocktails, beers, ciders and wines were very expansive. Perfect for a yap ladies session! Can't wait to come back again. ”
